I met Dr. Anabela Correia in late 2012, following the first animal trial of my invention, the LiVac Retractor. She has somehow managed to garner valuable experience in virtually all the sectors which are critical to commercialising medical technology, and has been the key driver in moving LiVac from a prototype to a registered medical device, now distributed internationally, in just over three years.
Inner Maven’s direction led to the Federal Government grant-supported Clinical Trial in 2013, which formed the basis for subsequent regulatory approval.
Inner Maven drove the critical fund-raising and corporate re-structuring necessary to grow the company in 2014, and implemented the structures and accounting measures necessary for corporate governance and to leverage the R&D Tax Incentive program.
The team at Inner Maven has managed all of the processes necessary to run a medical device company, ranging from appropriate insurances, developing and executing contractor, manufacturer and distributor agreements, direct negotiations with distributor companies, and planning the future growth and budget for the company. Anabela’s personal contacts within associated industries have brought in the right people for contracted expertise.
I do not know where Anabela sources her energy from, for it is boundless. Working with her has been a pleasure and a privilege. My respect for her professional abilities is matched by my admiration of her integrity and personal qualities. Anabela rightfully took up the mantle of CEO for LiVac at the start of this year. She is a rare and wonderful person.
As someone who came to Inner Maven literally as ‘a guy with a (business) idea’, the team at Inner Maven helped to guide and craft my idea from a prototype through to a live, growing start-up business.
Much of our success to date can be attributed to Inner Maven. They were key in assisting us to flesh out business and commercialisation strategies, set up key business partnerships, and opened up new opportunities.
Inner Maven worked with me in the wind up of a large and complex collaborative research consortium. Throughout this challenging assignment they demonstrated the utmost professionalism and maintained at all time a sharply-focused, results-driven approach.
Inner Maven’s extensive knowledge and experience in technology commercialisation enabled them to step into a wide range of incomplete commercialisation projects and be effective in pursuing them to closure.
They have an excellent grasp of technical, IP, legal and commercial issues that need to be woven together, combined with the professionalism, drive and tact required for successful consulting.
I strongly recommend Inner Maven’s services to anyone who needs advice on technology commercialisation and deal making.
I have worked with the team at Inner Maven for 2 years. Upon starting we knew nothing about the Australian market, its sales processes, it’s potential or the intricacies of setting up an Australian division that maximises revenue and claims all available research rebates.
Inner Maven provided us with a clear strategy and operational path. They managed the entire process from the beginning and advised us on all aspects from the smallest (where to locate a business address) to large roll-outs of new technology and products. The advantages they provided by advising on all tax rebates made them a valuable resource indeed.
As they had been with us from a small team they were happy to undertake responsibilities in all areas of the business and managed clients, marketing, sales, clinical research, logistics and relationships with our partners.
The team at Inner Maven is a joy to work with and I can recommend them to anyone thinking of doing business in Australia.
Inner Maven did a fantastic job with our group. I imagine we were a challenging group with very limited business experience. They did an incredible job keeping us focussed, which is an incredible achievement in itself. I know it’s not common for people to acknowledge great efforts, but the efforts of the team at Inner Maven were truly appreciated.
Inner Maven have worked on several projects for Ingeneus and I have worked with Anabela in her role as General Manager and CEO of LiVac. Anabela is a leader who is passionate about helping businesses succeed and a highly professional and energetic CEO. Her knowledge and expertise ensure that Anabela and her team provide high level advice that is well considered and researched. The team at Inner Maven are a pleasure to deal with and deliver to a high standard. I highly recommend them and we will work with Anabela and her team again.
Inner Maven successfully guided me through a commercial license with a German medical device company. My own experience was completely positive. Inner Maven was very passionate about commercialising my technology. This passion made them interested and extremely attentive to the small details of the process.
Their communication skills are exceptional. In particular, Anabela was a good listener and ensured she knew my expectations and goals.
I increasingly relied on Inner Maven to manage most of the written communications with the German company, as it saved me both time and money.
I highly recommend working with Inner Maven. They are passionate about commercialising intellectual property.
