Feb 2013: Inner Maven assists LiVac Pty Ltd in securing $250,000 matched Commercialisation Australia funding.
Livac Pty Ltd has been advised of a successful Commercialisation Australia (CA) grant application for the commercialisation of a novel surgical instrument for the laparoscopic market. The technology has application in all upper tract abdominal laparoscopic operations and will further act to simplify the technical difficulty of liver retraction in the latest single incision techniques. Inner Maven is pleased to have played a role in the grant application process and looks forward to working with LiVac in delivering its milestones over the next 12 months. The end device will enable quicker operations, improved and accelerated patient recovery, cost benefits and improved efficiencies to health service providers.

The company will develop tests for the detection of early stage breast and ovarian cancer and is working to develop novel antibody treatments and vaccines aimed at improving the management and treatment of cancer.
